Problem:

-100 error when running ASP/400 or FILEATTR.EXE Test program

Solution:

  • The AS/400 password must be shortened to 7-8 characters in order to prevent the -100 security error with ASP/400.
  • Or if you've added a library to the QUSRLIBL system value that could be causing problems. Check the joblogs in QEZJOBLOG outq. It could be causing the ASP/400 startup jobs to fail. Created a job description called ASP400JOBD in library QGPL for the ASP400 user profile they created and made sure it only referenced libraries needed by your ASP web pages.
