Problem:

The problem occurred when trying to use the WinSpool PCL to PDF Convertor with WinSpool Email Report Server. Was getting the error 48 file not found: pcl2pdfnt.dll

An additional symptom was that WinSpool 98 would get an "Unexpected Error" when launched because of incorrect versions of the COMCTL32.OCX, COMDLG32.OCX or TABCTL32.OCX controls.

Solution:

Go to Start Menu and goto Find. Then find these 3 files in the windows/system directory. COMCTL32.OCX, COMDLG32.OCX, and TABCTL32.OCX

Rename or delete the existing COMCTL32.OCX, COMDLG32.OCX, or TABCTL32.OCX file and run the WinSpool/400 95/NT PC installation process again. When the software is reinstalled, the correct version of the OCX controls should be copied and the PCL to PDF converter should now work correctly.
