Installing Batch Import Utility for iSeries

Please follow these instructions carefully to install Batch Import Utility for iSeries. If you experience any difficulties, you can refer to Batch Import Utility for iSeries's Troubleshooting page or contact Technical Support.

NOTE: If you are installing on Windows Server 2003 please read these instructions first.

Before You Install

Prerequisites	Corequisites	Upgrade	Optional
There are no software products from RJS that must be installed first prior to the install.	There are no software products from RJS that must be present in order for this product to work as designed.	This product requires the following upgrade to be applied after the base installation has completed. Batch Import Utility for iSeries Upgrade 1.0.65	There are no optional software products for this application.

Installation

These instructions install version 1.0.61 of Batch Import Utility for iSeries

Step 1: Download

Download Batch Import Utility for iSeries from RJS.

Step 2: Begin Install

As an Administrator, run rjsimgbatchimpsetup.exe. You will be presented with the installer welcome screen.

Step 3: Select Components

If you have purchased an OCR license and wish to use OCR functionality with Batch Import Utility for iSeries, keep the OCR Scansoft Capture enabled. Otherwise, you can click on the hard disk icon to deselect it for install.

Step 4: Select Destination

You will be prompted to select destination directories for the OCR components if you enabled them in Step 3, followed by the WebDocs iSeries API. Either click Next to accept the default installation directory or choose the desired destination directory.

Step 5: Install

Click Install to commence install.

Step 6: Finish

Batch Import Utility for iSeries should now be fully installed.

The Batch Import Utility for iSeries installation you have completed performs a base install. An upgrade is still required to make your software current. Please ensure that the Batch Import Utility for iSeries upgrade has been applied.
