Installing Batch Import Utility for iSeries

Please follow these instructions carefully to install Batch Import Utility for iSeries. If you experience any difficulties, you can refer to Batch Import Utility for iSeries's Troubleshooting page or contact Technical Support.

NOTE: If you are installing on Windows Server 2003 please read these instructions first.

Before You Install

This software must be present prior to running the Batch Import Utility for iSeries installation. Visual Basic 5.0 Runtime Files Install	There are no software products from RJS that must be present in order for this product to work as designed.	This product requires the following upgrade to be applied after the base installation has completed. Batch Import Utility for iSeries Upgrade 1.0.51	There are no optional software products for this application.

Installation

These instructions install version 1.0.43 of Batch Import Utility for iSeries

Step 1: Download

Download Batch Import Utility for iSeries from RJS.

Password = ***********

Step 2: Begin Install

As an Administrator, run rjsimgbatchimpsetup.exe. You will be presented with the WinZip Self-Extractor message.

Step 3: Confirm

Click the Setup button to extract installation files/programs. You will be prompted to confirm installation of the product. Click OK again to confirm that you have performed the Visual Basic 5.0 Runtime Files Install.

Step 4: Select Destination

Click OK to continue setup of Batch Import Utility for iSeries. You will be prompted to select a destination directory. Either click OK to accept the default installation directory or choose the desired destination directory.

Step 5: Install

Click Next to commence install.

Step 6: Finish

Batch Import Utility for iSeries should now be fully installed.

The Batch Import Utility for iSeries installation you have completed performs a base install. An upgrade is still required to make your software current. Please ensure that the Batch Import Utility for iSeries upgrade has been applied.
