CPF4101 in iSeries Office Integrator Joblog

Problem:

While running iSeries Office Integrator connections cannot be made to the PC server and errors occur on the iSeries side. Joblog includes message along the lines of "Error CPF4101 while trying to open FTPLOG using program OFCTFR3R in library RJSOFFICE".

Solution:

FTP connections could not be made to the PC server. Checked the firewall settings and they were blocking FTP port 21 which is what Office Integrator runs on. Enabled the exception for port 21 and the Office Integrator could connect once again.
