Configure Win2PDF & Acrobat

Install Win2PDF

Make sure that Win2PDF & Adobe Acrobat 4.0 or 5.0 are installed. Adobe Acrobat 6.0 or above will not work.

Win2PDF is installed, create a printer port that points to C:\HTML2PDFTMP.PDF

Note: The C:\HTML2PDFTMP.PDF name is critical to the PDF option working correctly with the HTML to PDF Converter and HTML to PDF Server.

Setting up a new "local port" for the Win2PDF Printer

  1. Select Start/Settings/Printers
  2. Right-click Win2PDF printer and select Properties.
  3. Click Ports tab and select Add Port.
  4. Double-click Local Port from the Printer Ports screen.
  5. Enter: C:\HTML2PDFTMP.PDF then click OK and Close.
  6. Click Apply to save new printer port setting.
  7. Click the General Tab and then click Print Test Page.
  8. After the test page is generated, try to open C:\HTML2PDFTMP.PDF for viewing via Adobe Acrobat Reader. If this works, the new Win2PDF printer port is ready to use.
