DataImport Locks When Doing Column Define

Solution:
This problem is usually caused by a bad video driver and it has been recently noted by Spalding Software that Toshiba Tecra laptops are known for this problem. In the case of the Toshiba Tecra, the solution is to download the current drivers from www.toshiba.com or the Chips and Technologies Web Site.
Other possible solutions for this type of problem include:
- Lower the number of video colors from 16 million to 256 or 16 colors.
- Get the latest video drivers for your PC.
- Change video driver to "Standard VGA"
