Error "Attachment not found." during the ZSP processing cycle of the WinSpool/400 Email Report Server

Problem:

User is getting an error message "Attachment not found." during the ZSP processing cycle of the Email Report Server. The error does not occur if the output format is SPL.

Solution:

This problem was caused by the user entering ZSP in the Output Format field in the Email Report Server Output Queue/Email Recipient Screen. ZSP should never be entered in the Output Format field. Typically only SPL, PRN, TXT, RTF, or PDF should be used for Output Formats. Entering ZSP in the Output Format field was causing the Email Report Server to download the report to a file called WSPESRV.ZSP and then it was trying to compress WSPESRV.ZSP into WSPESRV.ZSP. Basically the Email Report Server was trying to compress a ZIP file into itself. Resolution: Always use the SPL, PRN, or PDF file type for ASCII reports, RTF for RTF formatted reports, and PDF for Adobe Acrobat formatting.
