Problem:

Error -4 Occurs when Starting DDA/400 Session

Solution:

1.) This can occur if multiple versions of the DDA40032.DLL library exist on a PC and they are at 2 different version levels. To resolve the problem, delete all versions of DDA40032.DLL and reinstall the software.

2.) The -4 error can also occur if the DDA/400 software was loaded on a PC, but no AS/400 host information was configured via the "DDA/400 Configuration" program.
