Problem:

Error 5 Occurred While Logging Into Lotus Notes via VIM32.DLL API

Solution:

The VIM32 Error return code 5 can occur if attempting to log into Lotus Notes using a different user ID than the user specified in the currently selected Lotus Notes user.id file. Error 5 can also be caused if a correct user ID is selected, but no mail domain or an invalid Lotus Notes domain name is entered. Example User ID: John James/RJS Software John James is the User ID RJS Software is the mail domain

Note: Lotus Notes user ID's, mail domains, and passwords are Case Sensitive, so enter them carefully.
