Problem:
When I open an ASCII text report file which has been downloaded from the AS/400 with page/line breaks, why does the text wrap and the fonts don't look correct ?
[edit]
Solution:
To view and print a converted AS/400 report file, do the following steps and the report should be formatted correctly:
1. Open file in MS Word. 2. Change page orientation to Landscape. 3. Change page margins to .4" 4. Select all text. The Control-A key combination will select all text in MS Word. 5. Change the font name to "Courier New" 6. Change the font size to 6,7,8 points or a size that looks correct for the selected report.
