Installing ISeries Office Integrator PC Component

Please follow these instructions carefully to install ISeries Office Integrator PC Component. If you experience any difficulties, you can refer to ISeries Office Integrator PC Component's Troubleshooting page or contact Technical Support.

NOTE: If you are installing on Windows Server 2003 please read these instructions first.

Before You Install

There are no software products from RJS that must be installed first prior to the install.	Corequisites may be installed in any order and must be present prior to running the application. ISeries Office Integrator Install	There is no upgrade necessary after installation.	There are no optional software products for this application.

Installation

These instructions install version 1.1.84 of ISeries Office Integrator PC Component

Step 1: Download

Download ISeries Office Integrator PC Component from RJS Software Systems.

Username = *********
Password = ***********

Step 2: Begin Install

As an Administrator, run rjsofficeint.exe. You will be presented with the WinZip Self-Extractor message.

Step 3: Confirm

Click the Setup button to extract installation files/programs. You will be prompted to confirm installation of the product.

Step 4: Select Destination

Click Next to continue setup of ISeries Office Integrator PC Component. You will be prompted to select a destination directory. Either click OK to accept the default installation directory or choose the desired destination directory.

Step 5: Begin Install

Click Next to begin install.

Step 6: Set up OBDC Data Source Driver

If you are going to be using the iSeries Office Integrator for doing Mail Merges, you need to set up a ODBC Data Source.

Click Yes if you'd like to set up the ODBC Data Source.

Click Ok to set the ODBD Data Source to use the Microsoft Text Drive.

Click Ok to use the default ODBC Data Source name.

Step 7: Install as service

You may choose whether or not you wish to run the ISeries Office Integrator PC Component as a service or not. Please not that it cannot run both as a service and as an application.

Step 8: Add Start-Up Shortcuts

Click Yes to add Start-Up menu shortcuts.

Step 9: Finish

You will receive an installation success message. Click Finish to complete the installation process. Please continue to ISeries Office Integrator PC Component Upgrade.
