Installing SDI 5250 Telnet Application

In order to use the RJS 5250 Integrator software with the SDI 5250 Telnet Emulator, the following needs to be done:

Before You Install

This software must be installed prior to running WinSpool/400 Electronic Forms Print Server Visual Basic 5.0 Runtime Files 5250 Integrator v1.0.5	There are no software products from RJS that must be installed in order for this product to work as designed.	There are no supplementary software products for this application.

Installation

NOTE: The SDI 5250 Emulator must have already been installed to: C:\Program Files\SDI\TN3270 Plus & the file C:\Program Files\SDI\TN3270 Plus\whllapi.dll must exist.

Step 1: Download

Download SDI 5250 Integration from RJS.

Username = *********
Password = ***********

Step 2: Install

As an Administrator, run sdi5250setup.exe. Follow the steps through the install.

Enabling the SDI 5250 Integration

Step 1: Start 5250 Integrator

After installation, start the RJS 5250 Integrator via the Start menu.

Start > Programs > RJS 5250 Integrator > RJS 5250 Integrator

Step 2: Edit Settings

When the program starts, right-click on the toolbar button and select "Edit Settings".

Change the following settings to enable the SDI 5250 screen scraping for session A.

UseCA400=0
UseRumbaWebToHost=0
UseSDI5250=1
UseBOSV32HLLAPI=0 

Step 3: Save & Close

Close and save the settings file. Then re-start the 5250 Integrator.
