Problem:
Customer gets an "Invalid property value" error from DataImport after launching the DataImport Mask program. The splash screen shows and then the program exits.
The customer is running DataImport on a Windows Terminal Server with Citrix on it.
Solution:
DataImport creates its INI settings file in the C:\WINNT directory in a file named DIW.INI. Apparently the user either does not have a DIW.INI file in their C:\WINNT directory or the file has corrupt information in it.
- You can check the attached DIW.INI file against your DIW.INI file to see which settings may be corrupt.
-or-
- You can email your DIW.INI file to Technical Support for testing.
If you do not have a DIW.INI file, it's possible that you don't have write access to the C:\WINNT directory to create the DIW.INI file.
Note: We have not tested this theory, but the problem could also occur if a read-only version of the DIW.INI exists in the C:\WINNT directory. The DataImport program needs to have write access to the DIW.INI file to be able to update its global settings.
A replacement .ini file can be found here.
