To ensure that our software will work successfully with the product in your environment, check out several of the reports by doing the following: on the “Work with Output Queue” screen, select option “8” (Attributes) for several of the JD Edwards reports. Look at the attribute for Printer Device Type.

If the Printer Device Type is *SCS, you will be able to use the AS/400 Report Splitter, WinSpool/400, WinSpool/400 Email Report Server and WinSpool/400 PDF Report Converter in your environment.

If the Printer Device Type is *AFPDS, you will not be able to use the AS/400 Report Splitter. You will be able to use WinSpool/400 and WinSpool/400 Email Report Server. You will need to use Document Server to convert your reports to PDF format.

If the Printer Device Type is *USERASCII, you will not be able to use the AS/400 Report Splitter. You will be able to use WinSpool/400 and WinSpool/400 Email Report Server. You will need to use WinSpool/400 PCL to PDF Report Converter to convert your reports to PDF format.
