Long Delays When Logging into FTP Server from DOS

Solution:
Usually if a user is using WinSpool/400 with TCP/IP, one of the following network related issues can cause FTP to respond very slowly: 1. There may be a duplicate IP address problem in the network. 2. A routing conflict may exist in the network router or in the AS/400 routing entries.
When using any of the WinSpool/400 products, this problem may show up as an error telling the user that the software has not been licensed. This error occurs because WinSpool/400 cannot log into the AS/400 and verify software licensing information.
