Problem:

Upon attempting to launch Winspool you are presented with a popup dailog box stating "ACTSKIN4.OCX is not registered" and the program halts.

Solution:

  1. Disable Norton Anti Virus.
  2. Re-install Winspool/400 Report Download
  3. Add C:\Windows\System32\ACTSKIN4.OCX to the exclusion list.

The Cause: Symantec published a new virus definition file on Friday March 28th, 2008, apparently it views ACTSKIN4.OCX as a suspicious entity and wants to quarantine or delete it.
