Outlook Express error program is automatically trying to send an email on your behalf

Problem:

Outlook Express User getting the following error when sending emails: "a program is automatically trying to send an email on your behalf, do you want to allow this?"

Solution:

  1. Download and install ADMPACK.EXE on your exchange server.
  2. Set up a public folder, "OUTLOOK SECURITY SETTINGS". Set up a record for the users that will override in this folder.
  3. Create a registry key on the individual user's computer, that is set to 'override' the default Outlook security settings.
