Problem:
When a I try to launch a WinView/400 report with a .SPL extension, the Macromedia Shockwave player starts instead.

Solution:
Shockwave uses the same report file extension as a WinView/400 report with a .SPL. extension.
There are two potential solutions:
1.) If you want to be able to open WinView/400 instead of Shockwave when launching a .SPL report, you will need to re-associate the .SPL file extension with WinView/400 instead of Shockwave.
2.) You can send out reports for use with WinView/400 in compressed format with a .ZSP extension. WinView/400 will open files with a .SPL or .ZSP file extension.
