Problem:

If the Windows NFS server is setup appropriately according to this article, however documents will not write to the NFS server, there may be a quota restriction on the Windows Server for disk utilization. This will typically only happen with servers that have Active Directory installed, but may not be limited to Active Directory.

Solution:

Log in to the Windows server and do the following from "My Compoter".

  1. Highlight the disk drive letter where the RJSIMAGEDOCNFS folder is located and right click on the drive letter.
  2. Then select the "Quota" tab.
  3. Click the "Quota Entries" button. If there are any entries listed with a red, double click on the entry and click "Do not limit disk usage" setting to clear all Red entries.
  4. After doing this, go back to the iSeries and run the DOCUNMOUNT and DOCMOUNT commands to re-mount the NFS share.
