Problem:

Customer is randomly getting a Decimal Data Error from program RS005R when splitting a report.

The odd thing is that it works for one user, but not one of their other users.

Both users have the same authority.

Solution:

Run the EDTLIBL command and make sure QTEMP is the first library in the library list.

As a general rule QTEMP should always be the first library in your library list.

Since QTEMP wasn't at the top of the users library list, the splitter was trying to process the empty RSPPAGE00 work file from library RJSSPLIT instead of the one that gets created in QTEMP by the splitting process.

This can apparently cause a decimal data error when the splitter program RS005R tries to read an empty work file.
