Requirements/Settings to use WinSpool/400 Email Report Server with Castelle

From Support

The SMTP Gateway must be installed and configured on the Castelle server. This would be located in the Castelle / Add Ons group if it has been installed.

If the SMTP Gateway hasn't been installed, this can be found via the Castelle installation CD.

Version Requirements

WinSpool/400 Email Report Server - Version 3.1.22 or above

Update: http://www.rjssoftware.com/files/ws_ers/Updates/rjsesrup.exe

RJS SMTP Mail API - Version 1.0.14 or above ( To check the version, simply goto the properties/version tab of the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RJSSMTP.EXE)

Install: http://www.rjssoftware.com/files/API_Updates/rjssmtpu.exe

Fax Address Syntax

{n=From Name}{cn=From Company Name}Fax_Number@Fax_Domain_Name

Sample: {n=Brad Schubert}{cn=RJS Software Systems, Inc.}9528981781@RJS_FAXPRESS

Configuring the RJS SMTP Mail API

1. Open the following settings file:

c:\windows\system32\rjssmtp.ini

Note: If installing for the first time, you'll have to run the c:\windows\system32\rjssmtp.exe to create the .ini file

2. Change the following:

checkemailaddresses=0    This will disable address checking.  

Note: If the above setting hasn't been changed you'll get the following error messages:

ERROR: SMTP error

SMTP Error -14

Configuring the WinSpool/400 Email Report Server

1. Open the following settings file:

c:\wspesr32\wspesr32.ini

2. Change the following:

ValidateEmailAddress=False
EnableFaxPress=1
FaxPressSMTP=1.1.1.1
