SMTP Error 22213 when emailing AS/400 reports

Problem:

The user is getting error 22213 each time a report is emailed.

Solution:

The customer re-booted the PC and the problem went away. If the problem reoccurs continuously they will contact RJS Software Systems so we can put together a test to resolve the problem. It could be that TCP/IP is running out of available ports after a period of processing. This is a potential TCP/IP stack issue with Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT. The customer may want to plan a system re-boot periodically.
