Securing WinSpool/400 Screen Options

The INI settings listed below allow the WinSpool/400 interface to be secured, so users can only access certain menu options or screen settings. These settings can be changed in the WINSPL20.INI or the WINSPL32.INI or the WINSPL98.INI or the WINSP400.INI program setting files.
WINSPL20.INI is used with the 16-Bit WinSpool/400 Interface. WINSPL32.INI is used with the 32-Bit WinSpool 95 Interface. WINSPL98.INI is used with the 32-Bit WinSpool 98 Interface. WINSP400.INI is used with the 32-Bit WinSpool/400 Skins Interface.
Determines whether a user can change program settings.
chgset=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether a user can enter information into the screen fields on the Retrieve Output Queue list screen.
chgoutq=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether a user can enter information into the screen fields on the Retrieve Spool File list screen.
chgsplf=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether the Monarch option is enabled.
enablemonarch=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether the DataImport option is enabled.
enabledataimport=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether the File Manager option is enabled.
enablefilemanager=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether the Editor option is enabled.
enableeditor=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether the User Options option is enabled.
enableuseroptions=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether the User can view the program settings screen.
enablesettings=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether the User can use the Retrieve Output Queue List screen.
enableoutqlist=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
Determines whether the User can use the Retrieve Spool File List screen.
enablesplflist=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled)
WINSP400.INI updates - WINSP400.EXE V3.0.51 (5/12/2004)
Determines whether the User can use the Refresh button on the Retrieve Output Queue List screen to retrieve a list of available AS/400 output queues.
enablerefresh=1 (0-Disabled, 1-Enabled - allow refresh)
Determines whether the User can type in an output queue name other than one that is found in the output queue list pulldown.
enablepulldownprotect=1 (0-Allow any output queue name to be entered, 1-Only allow output queue names to be entered that are found in the output queue list pulldown.)
Setting Up Output Queue List Files WINSPL98.OQ or WINSP400.OQ for Users
These text files are for WinSpool 98 and the WinSpool/400 with Skins versions. They contain a list of available AS/400 output queues and can be auto-updated using the Refresh button from the Retrieve Output Queue List screen or an output queue list can be manually entered into the files if users will be locked down via the (enablepulldownprotect=1) setting.
First 5 characters in text record: TCPIP. Next 10 characters in text record are outq name. Last 10 characters in record are library name.
