Setting up IIS CGI-BIN authority for WinSpool/400 Web Report Server if reports and settings will be stored on a different server

IIS Settings Go to Internet Service Manager. Create a new virtual directory named CGI-BIN. It must be pathed to the INETPUB/SCRIPTS directory.

From the Internet Service Manager open the properties for CGI-BIN. Then go to directory security. Make sure the anonymous option is checked. Click the edit user button next to anonymous and change the user to be a valid user id and password that matches for the IIS server PC and the server that will store the reports.

Things to do on the PC that is running the WinSpool Batch Report Server.

Create a share for the directory named WSPBCH32

Create a share for the directory where the reports are stored.

Make sure the INI settings for the Web Report Server EXE point to the settings file location on the server where the settings files are stored.

These sample INI settings assume the Batch Report Server database settings are being stored on a server named: SERVER1
