Setting up WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server or WinSpool/400 Email Report Server to run automatically using the Windows 98/Internet Explorer 5.0 Task Scheduler

1. Go to My Computer and double-click on the "Scheduled" Tasks Folder.

2. Double-click the "Add Scheduled Task" icon.

3. Select "Next".

4. For the Batch Report Server Click the Browse button to select the WSPBCH32.EXE program from the C:\WSPBCH32 directory. For the Email Report Server Click the Browse button to select the WSPESR32.EXE program from the C:\WSPESR32 directory.

5. Type in the descriptive name for the task and select the time to perform the task then click "Next". Most people will use the "Daily" schedule option.

6. On the next screen, enter additional specifics related to the scheduling option you chose then click "Next".

7. On the next screen, enable the "Open advanced properties for this task" check box then click "Finish".

8. Enter the following advanced settings:

For the Batch Report Server change the RUN command line to "C:\WSPBCH32\WSPBCH32.EXE ONCE" if you want the task to only run once or change the RUN command line to "C:\WSPBCH32\WSPBCH32.EXE START" if you want the task to start and stay running.

For the Email Report Server change the RUN command line to "C:\WSPESR32\WSPESR32.EXE ONCE" if you want the task to only run once or change the RUN command line to "C:\WSPESR32\WSPESR32.EXE START" if you want the task to start and stay running.

9. Go to the "Settings" tab and uncheck all special setting unless you feel you need to use any of the special settings.
