Problem:

You are getting errors from commands WSPL016, WSPL019 or WSPL020 during report downloading with WinSpool/400.

Solution:

In order to determine which errors may be occuring on the AS/400, you can add an entry to the WINSPL32.INI (WinSpool 95) or WINSPL98.INI (WinSpool 98) file to tell the WinSpool software to create a job log after each download pass.

Here's how to do it:

1. Make sure the WinSpool/400 software is not running. 2. Open the appropriate INI file using Windows Notepad or another ASCII editor. 3. Add an entry on a new line below the [Settings] section which says: DSPJOBLOG=1

Example INI File
[Settings]
DSPJOBLOG=1

4. Save the INI file. 5. Start WinSpool/400 and attempt to do a report download. 6. When the error occurs, click through any error messages and then look on the AS/400 for a job log print file created by the user ID of the person testing the software. The spool file name will be QPJOBLOG
