When setting up a new PC to auto-print Image Server/400 documents through an attached PC, the following prerequisite software items must be installed and selected setup steps performed on the PC.

1.) The PC must be running Microsoft Windows 2000, XP or 2003.

2.) If re-printing to an AS/400 output queue with the PC, an LPR printer port must be created as defined in the RJS knowledgebase article:

Creating a LPR Port on Windows 2000/XP/2003 to print to AS/400 print queue

3.) The Windows-based printer driver for the attached PC printer or AS/400 output queue attached to a PC or network printer must be installed on the PC.

Example: if re-printing to an AS/400 output queue with an HP laserJet 4000 printer attached to it, the HP LaserJet 4000 printer driver must be installed on the PC.
