Hoq to use the iSeries Office Integrator software on a Windows Terminal Server PC.

Because a Windows Terminal Server runs multiple users on the same PC and the Office Integrator PC component usually uses TCP/IP port 21 for each program instance, the software must be set up individually for each user so the iSeries Office Integrator will work with the Windows Terminal Server.

1.) Install iSeries Office Integrator PC component V1.1.56 on your Terminal Server.

2.) Create a new file of any type in C:\Program Files\RJSOFFICE and rename it to RJSOFFICE.SHR. This puts the Office Integrator into shared user mode. Now when each new user starts up the office integrator PC component an INI file will get created in C:\Progam Files\RJSOFFICE with their name on it. Example: Joe = C:\Program Files\RJSOFFICE\joe.ini

**Note: Make sure that all users have read/write access to the C:\Program Files\RJSOFFICE folder or the INI files will not get auto-created. An alternative is for the Windows system administrator to manually create each INI file.

3.) For each user, start up the Office Integrator PC component and go to File/Settings. For each user, give them a different port starting with 21000 (Any starting IP from 1-64000 may be used). If desired, you can also manually edit each users INI file in C:\Program Files\RJSOFFICE to change the port number to use.

**Note: Remember each user must have their own TCP/IP port to use and a matching entry must be added to the OFCUSR00 table in the RJSOFFICE library as listed in the next section.

4.) Add the RJSOFFICE library to your library list and go to the RJSOFFICE menu in the RJSOFFICE library.

ADDLIBLE RJSOFFICE GO RJSOFFICE

Select menu option: 41. Edit TCP/IP Port Info for Users - (OFCUSR00)

Add each AS/400 user ID to this table along with the TCP/IP port they will use with the iSeries Office Integrator PC Component. Make sure the enabled flag is set to Y.

Now when each user starts the iSeries Office Integrator PC component, the selected TCP/IP port will be used to monitor for incoming calls from the iSeries. Also when the OFCRUNPC command is used from the iSeries, the command will know which TCP/IP port to talk to for each AS/400 - iSeries user profile.
