Installing Text Layer Designer

Please follow these instructions carefully to install Text Layer Designer. If you experience any difficulties, you can refer to Text Layer Designer's Troubleshooting page or contact Technical Support.

NOTE: If you are installing on Windows Server 2003 please read these instructions first.

There are no software products from RJS that must be installed first prior to the install.

Corequisites may be installed in any order and must be present prior to running the application.

Installation

These instructions install version Text Layer Designer Revision History of Text Layer Designer

Step 1: Download

Download Text Layer Designer from RJS.

Username = *********
Password = ***********

Step 2: Setup

As an Administrator, run rjseformsetup.exe. You will be presented with the WinZip Self-Extractor message. Select the Setup to install the utility.

Step 3: Welcome Message

Click OK to begin installation process. You will be presented with a Welcome message.

Step 4: Choose Forms Product

Click Next to continue the installation process. You will be prompted to choose type of electronic forms usage. Select WinSpool/400 Electronic Forms. The only exception to this is if you are a long-time RJS eForms customer that is using the Reform product. If that is the case, choose RJS eForms. Click Next to continue the installation process.

Step 5: Select Destination

You will be prompted for the installation destination directory. Click Next to continue the installation process.

Step 6: Install

You will be prompted to start the install process. Click Next to install the product.

Step 7: Finish

You will be presented with an installation success message. Click Finish to complete the installation process. After copying files, the Setup program will update the WinSpool Electronic Forms group with a short-cut for Text Layer Designer and notify you when it's done.
