Trying to start WinView/400 getting "Type Mismatch" error

Problem:

This can happen when a PC is not using the "English - United States" Regional Settings. Different regional settings will sometimes cause decimal data conversion problems.

Solution:

Obtain the WinView/400 V1.71 version update from RJS Software Systems. This version correctly handles the Decimal Data Formatting.
