Problem:

Error -1 occurred while unzipping report file is the second message which will get displayed with this error.

This problem can occur if a user turns on the @SPOOL or @USERDATA setting in the WinSpool/400, Email Report Server or Batch Report Server software when a report file gets packaged into a ZIP file. When this happens it's possible the file inside the .ZIP or .ZSP file will have a long file name, not an 8.3 byte file name. This can cause problems when attempting to open a report using the WinView/400 16-Bit version.

Solution:

You can either load the WinView/400 95/NT software which eliminates this problem completely or make sure the file names within the .ZIP files will not get a long file name assigned. You can do this by using the default attachment file names with the WinSpool/400 software products instead of substituting @SPOOL, @USERDATA or any other value that will result in a long file name.
