Problem:
( The document name or path is not valid. Try these suggestions. Check the file permissions for the document or drive. Use the File Open dialog box to locate the document. )
Rich text format RTF documents use brackets { } to delimit text in the files. Sometimes report data also contains brackets. This can cause the following problems:
- MS Word may not want to open the document.
- If the document opens, it may be missing data or pages.
Solution:
Here's how to resolve the problem:
1.) Make sure you have the RTF Report Converter V2.0.3 or above.
You can download the V2.0.5 patch from the following web link if you don't have it:
http://www.rjssoft.com/FILES/rtfup32.exe
2.) Start the RTF Report Converter program by itself and enable the "Replace unmatched bracket pairs" setting on the "File/Settings" screen. Click OK to save the settings and then exit the program.
3.) From now on this report should convert just fine with the RTF converter. Unmatched bracket characters { } will be replaced with braces instead [ ].
