Using "Addresses In Reports" Setting and Reports are Inadvertently Getting Sent to Invalid Extra Email Addresses

Problem:

A customer installed the new WinSpool/400 Email Report Server V3.0 software and they enabled the SMTP mail sending option. Now when reports with embedded addresses get sent, there are a lot of extra bogus or invalid email addresses being selected from report data lines that don't have the MAILTO: keyword.

Solution:

This error can occur if the user installed the PC components of the WinSpool/400 Email Report server, but didn't update to the latest WINSPOOL library on the AS/400 that matches the Email Report Server version. Either of the steps listed below will resolve the problem: 1. Un-check the "Use MAILRPT API" setting from the "Edit Output Queue/Email Recipient Screen". 2. Load the current WINSPOOL library form the RJS Software Systems software CD or from the web site.
