Installing WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server

Please follow these instructions carefully to install WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server. If you experience any difficulties, you can refer to WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server's Troubleshooting page or contact Technical Support.

NOTE: If you are installing on Windows Server 2003 please read these instructions first.

This software must be present prior to running the WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server installation. Corequisites may be installed in any order and must be present prior to running the application. This product requires the following upgrade to be applied after the base installation has completed. Only install this software if your process requires it. For clarification, contact Technical Support.

Installation

These instructions install version 2.0.69 of WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server

Step 1: Download

Download WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server from RJS Software Systems.

Username = *********
Password = ***********

Step 2: Begin Install

As an Administrator, run rjsbch32.exe. You will be presented with the WinZip Self-Extractor message.

Step 3: Confirm

Click the Setup button to extract installation files/programs. You will be prompted to confirm installation of the product.

Step 4: Select Components

Select all components and click OK.

Step 5: Select Destination

Click OK to continue setup of WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server. You will be prompted to select a destination directory. Either click OK to accept the default installation directory or choose the desired destination directory.

Step 6: Add Icons

You will be prompted to add icons to Program Manager. Click Yes to add icons to Program Manager.

Step 7: Select Program Manager Group

Choose where to place shortcuts for WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server in the Start menu.

Step 8: Register OLEs

You will receive a message stating that the necessary Window's OLE files will now be registered. Click OK to continue the installation.

Step 9: Upgrade to latest version

You will receive an installation success message. Click OK to complete the installation process. Please continue to WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server Upgrade

After You Install

If you are not already licensed, please read the licensing information and contact Technical Support. Feel free to search the documentation and troubleshooting help or ask Technical Support for any questions you may have.

The WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server installation you have completed performs a base install. An upgrade is still required to make your software current. Please ensure that the WinSpool/400 Batch Report Server upgrade has been applied.
