Problem:
You upgraded from a CISC AS/400 to a RISC AS/400 and installed the new WINSPOOL library from the CD, however you are still getting WinSpool/400 license errors even after reentering the AS/400 access code several times and also running the WSPLOS command and checking the FTP Server status.
Solution:
We helped another user with the following process, after we set WinSpool 98 to create a joblog during processing, it appears that the user carried the WINSPOOL library over from the old AS/400 and simply restored the new RISC WINSPOOL library over the top of the old library without first clearing the library.
We know this because the AS/400 was trying to do a CISC to RISC conversion on object WSPL003R. This indicated that the user had somehow installed a CISC version of the WINSPOOL library on a RISC AS/400 system.
We had them delete the library and then reinstall from the CD and it works fine now.
