WinSpool Electronic Forms spools PCL file to output queue in HOLD status

Problem:
WinSpool Electronic Forms Print Server is setup to merge the spool file with a form and spool a PCL file back to a print queue. However, it does not print immediately due to the fact that the PCL file is uploaded in HLD status. It must be released to print.

Solution:
There are few steps that will need to be completed:
- In "Edit Form Print Output Directory List" the field for "Hold/Release Spool" needs to be set to "NO" This tells the print server not to upload in Hold Status
- Setp 1 will cause the upload command to get too long. Open File > Settings and enable the checkbox for "Enable 1024 byte AS/400 command lines" to give the Print Server the appropriate amount of room to run the full upload command.
- It may also be necessary to download an update for the WinSpool/400 32-Bit TCP/IP API. This can be found at the following location:
