Problem:

Windows XP Administrator User Does Not Show Up on Windows XP Login After Adding a New User

Solution:

It is possible to add Administrator to the Welcome screen with RegEdit. Just follow these instructions:

1. run "REGEDIT.EXE"
2. open the key, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList
3. Create a REG_DWORD value and set it to 0x00000001
4. restart Windows XP, and your Administrator account should now be on the Welcome screen
