Problem:
Customer is attempting to upload to WebDocs via Internet Explorer but fails each time with the following error:
Persits.XUpload.1 (0x800A003D) Wrong Content-Type. Make sure you have included the attribute ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" in your form.
Other PCs have no problem uploading with the same documents and authorities.
Solution:
In Internet Explorer, go to TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS. Click the SETTINGS button toward the middle of the window to open a new window. Click the VIEW OBJECTS button to look at the components installed in Internet Explorer.
If there is an object called PERSISTS.XUPLOAD or PERSISTS SOFTWARE XUPLOAD, delete it. Close down Internet Explorer and try uploading your document again and you will be prompted to reinstall the XUPLOAD component
If the above object is not listed, start a Windows search. Search for *XUPLOAD*.* (you will most likely find it in the System32 folder).
Rename it and try uploading to WebDocs again. You should be prompted to reinstall the XUpload component.
NOTE: If you are unable to delete XUPLOAD.OCX, make sure to kill all IEXPLORE.EXE instances in the task manager before deleting XUPLOAD.OCX.
